Dozens of students from the Missouri School of Journalism are participating in a two-week seminar surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Coordinated through The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, the program allows students to learn about, discuss and analyze our nation’s presidential nominating process, to witness firsthand the enormous efffort that goes into the organization of a major party’s national convention and to take on special assignments that help them hone their skills as journalists.
MU is among 117 colleges and universities across the nation that are participating in the seminar, which is hosted by Regis University. Several of our students have agreed to share and reflect on their experiences here at Dateline Denver. We hope you’ll visit regularly as the convention unfolds and that you’ll also find this site a useful portal for further information about the 2008 presidential race.
